Natural Seller
You have a solid base for a successful career in sales. You are probably very comfortable promoting ideas, dealing with people, and guiding conversations toward closing deals without hesitation or losing momentum. You don’t fear strangers, find it easy to initiate interactions, can clearly communicate value, and handle rejection well. Moreover, you understand that successful selling often requires understanding the needs of customers and meeting them as much as possible.
Keep in mind that a high score doesn’t automatically mean that you are perfect at every aspect of sales. For example, it is possible to score high here but still have issues with being a little too pushy, talking more than necessary, or not listening to customers enough. Still, it suggests that you already have many traits that help people sell effectively.
Developing Seller
Your results suggest that you have a good level of sales skills, but they may not be evenly spread across all areas. You may be good at certain parts of the sales process while finding other parts more challenging. For example, you may be great at communication and presenting your product value clearly, but struggle with rejection or taking initiative. Check your Skill Breakdown above to see how much you score in each area. The skills where you scored the lowest are the areas that may need improvement.
Regardless, someone with your score can do reasonably well in sales, especially when they believe in what they are offering and are comfortable with the person they are dealing with. Occasionally, hesitation, self-doubt, or fear of coming across as pushy may get in the way. If you want to do better in sales, try to develop the skills where you got lower scores until they feel more natural and reliable.
Reluctant Seller
Your results suggest that you may be struggling with sales in several or all of the tested areas. You may be uncomfortable promoting yourself or your products, worry too much about coming across as pushy, be hesitant about approaching people, or take rejection too personally. You may be the type who prefers to stay in the background quietly working alone, and sales may feel too difficult and unnatural to you, and that is perfectly fine.
However, even if your score falls within this range, you still can succeed in sales by developing the necessary skills (see your Skill Breakdown above). Sales may not feel natural to you now, but that does not mean you cannot improve with practice.
